Who, what, where?
Playgamers Network (Playgamers or PG in short), is a 19 years old Norwegian gaming community for gaming entusiasts, playing games primarily on Xbox and Windows.
We are a community mainly consisting of adult gamers who have played for many years. We are not a hardcore group with strict requirements of participation and playing style, but rather aim to have fun in a more casual and relaxed way of gaming.
We use this site to check our gaming profiles, progress and statistics, and we also have an active Discord chat with gaming discussion channels.
How to become a member?
You don't have to apply or register somewhere, just come play with us on Xbox and chat with us on Discord! If you think this is something for you and that we're a cool community to hang with, you will be added as a member. As a member you will see your gaming profile and statistics on this site, and also get access to some benefits in our Discord server.

Some of our members have taken on some extended responsibilities, like moderating and generally keeping our community in good shape. Please feel free to reach out to them for questions or issues.
Our history
- 2005: Some friends and colleagues joined their gaming interests when the Xbox 360 was launched
- 2006: Kebabkongen officially founded the Playgamers Network community and the playgamers.net site was launched on April 6th with a list of our members and their gamerscore
- 2009: During the first four years, a lot of functionality was added to the community site including news letters, votes, member profiles and home pages, event calendar with mobile notifications, integrated web and IRC chat, system for physical game exchanges, a mobile version of the site, game reviews, industry news aggregator and of course extensive gaming statistics with profile information, high score lists and graphs of gamerscore progress and time played
- 2010: We found our common motto: - Gaming is a lifestyle! and we added a forum solution to the site to increase engagement with discussions, tips and hosting of events
- 2011: We love statistics and gaming! After almost 6 years we had increased our number of games, time played and gamescore multiple times
- 2016: After ten years we changed our main chat plattform from the trusted, but quite old IRC, to the new kid on the block, Discord
- 2020: During the pandemic years, it came really apparent that having a community to belong to is very important, and we hosted several online events to get everybody's minds of the real world
- 2021: Time flies and after fifteen years we're still going strong. We might not play together in so many organized game events anymore, but we're hosting trips in Norway and other countries, and celebrating with christmas parties every year
- 2023: Discussion forum was closed and a total rewamp of the playgamers.net was initiated
- 2025: Launch of the new improved responsive playgamers.net happened April 8th

This site and all other services in Playgamers Network are developed, operated and maintained on a voluntary basis. We do not charge any fee from our members, we do not use ads and we are not sponsored in any way. We are a gaming community with no commercial interests, services or products.
